So, a week or so ago, I sent my old Digital Rebel off to be repaired. The AF shutter spring had broken off while on vacation back in December (passed the 10k picture mark before it gave up, though). I got a call the other day saying the repairs were done and they would be shipping it back soon. Great!
Today, I got home and there was a box on the porch. I didn't think anything of it that the box was different than the one I sent the camera off in. I figured they reused boxes like I do. But, when I opened it.... wait a sec. That's not my camera! Jim and Carolyn Su Hughes of Birmingham Alabama are missing their 35mm Canon AE-1 and I don't have my Digital Rebel back!
By the time I got the box off the porch, it was 7 p.m., so I just fired off an email to the camera place and I'm waiting to hear back. I'll give them a call Monday morning if I don't hear back soon. I'll be glad to send this camera on to its owners, but I want mine back, damnit!
