Stone Mountain Highland Games

Here's a few pictures from the games this weekend. None of my pics came out great, but these are ones that I had a shot in mind and went for it. They didn't come out just like I thought, but at the same time, they're kind of cool.

None of these have been edited yet. I will probably do that soon and repost.

Some of these are of action shots, some are of more artsy shots I wanted to get. I had a plan for a couple pictures going in, but the others were just "shoot what happens." Now that I've done this once with this lens, I wouldn't mind doing it again so I could have a better grasp on my ideas..

All pictures here.

Here's one shot I wanted to bring out and mention. When I first saw this picture on my camera, I thought the idea for my shot was ruined. I was close to deleting this, but quickly just shut the camera off and went on.

Later, when I took the time to really look at this shot, I find myself fascinated by it. It's very artsy. You can see what they're doing, and understand, but nothing's really the focus.

I guess I can't explain why I like this shot. I like alot of things that are probably not "by the book," but this one really speaks to me. I'm glad I saved it. :)
