Finding subject matter

Ok, so now I've got good equipment (pretty much got most of what I've been wanting) and now I have a new problem - what do I take pictures of?

I live in Griffin, Georgia. Not really a hub of activity for the most part, and it's certainly not incredibly scenic. Last weekend I went out to the family land and walked around for a while, but that was kind of a bust. Development, drought, and a serious lack of anything remotely interesting led to a few wasted hours and a handfull of uninteresting pictures as the result. So, my dilemma is trying to find some interesting subjects. I do have a couple ideas floating in the back of my head, but overall, I'm feeling kind of stagnant.

I've got to look for the interesting in the mundane. In the rather sleepy Middle Georgia town I live in, there's not alot of action or interest. Here's to hoping I can eventually find a good subject.
